Orange Star Nation

The Orange Star COs are the first characters introduced in depth in the Advance Wars series.
Andy is a genius mechanic who grants bonuses to repairs and upgrades on his forces.
Max is a brutish hulk who has powerful tanks, but lacks prowess in indirect-fire combat.
Sami is an infantry specialist, with the ability to capture structures faster than any other CO.
